Summer Days

It hasn’t hit December yet but summer has definitely kick started in Sydney. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks and although it’s pretty intense with the heat, I haven’t been able to go to the beach! A place that’s on top of my list!

In the spirit of summer and beaches, here are my picks for swimwear this upcoming season. I’ve pinned it down to pastels, print and statement bolds. I’m sorry for the heavy load of Zimmerman swimwear, they’re just amazing, I can’t keep my eyes off of them!

L to R: Porcelain Quilted Tri Bikini by Zimmerman | Sundown Bonded Curve Bikini by Zimmerman | Georgia Bonded Halter Bikini by Zimmerman | Milly – New York Noir by Triangl

I personally love each one that I have picked and I cannot just love one. I tried and I failed miserably. I am a very indecisive person and I feel for my friends who have to put up with me but my top 3 from each category would be the Tile Print Bikini, the  Confetti Waterfall Bikini and the Porcelain Quilted Tri Bikini. Let me know which ones are your favourite and which one you definitely want this summer. There is always something extremely fun with buying new swimwear and these are no exception. The print, colour and detail in the simplest form are amazing.

So another reason for this colourful post is that next week on 1st December is Audrey and Jasper’s 1st Birthday. It’s going to be an amazing week - I’ll be celebrating in style and with a bang! Ill be doing a reflection post and hopefully show some snaps of the night.

I honestly didn’t think I would get this far and to come this far has been a journey which I hope continues, and just keeps getting better and better. I have always tried to make this a reflection of my style, of me and to give some insight to trends. Hopefully next year I will be able to show my geeky side into the mix as well.

2 months ago I had an amazing day and I’m so late in posting about it!

I’ll start from the beginning. First of all, I didn’t know where I was being driven to because it was all a surprise. I had been having a bad few days previous and busy with work and having a visit to Newtown surprised me! I had all these ideas in my head then, bam, Newtown. It was my first time properly being in Newtown and I had found my new favourite café – Cuckoo Callay! The moment I walked in, I instantly thought of my best friend who is travelling the world and I knew I had to take her to this cute spot. She’d go insane taking a billion photos.

The food was amazing, delicious and although I was full, I wanted more just to stare at how good it all looked! After taking as many photos as I could with T’s phone, we strolled to Black Star Pastry. We had to make the trip as we just missed it at closing hours when we arrived for my birthday back in March. Of course we purchased the watermelon cake and the cute little hazelnut and ricotta tart.

All I’m going to say is that we should have bought more! I think I wouldn't have stopped though. They were so amazingly good! I wish I could have taken more photos but knowing me, all the pictures that I did take were horrible and blurry.

I was having that much fun that I forgot to take photos of my ootd, after realizing the fact, I made a trip to the park to take some photos. They’re all unedited because I couldn’t change it any other way because I loved the originals so much and just to let you know, I think it was really hard to be photographed because I was all over the place ... the swings are my favourite.

I hope you like this post!

Let's Break It Down

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been really busy.  As some of my dear friends would like to say, I’ve been hustlin’ - I’ve been working, sending numerous emails, applying for jobs, helping at home, socialising with friends and doing a little soul searching.

As some of you know, next year will be my last year in uni and because of this it’s made me think and wonder a lot in what I want to do.  A lot of soul searching and a lot of time researching – I probably sent and opened hundreds of job applications. I’m not in a massive rush but I’m very happy that I have a trial on Tuesday for an internship at a PR and Event Agency. Fingers crossed that everything goes well!

I am also in really slow steps of hopefully moving out of the family home next year. It hasn’t been easy and it’s involved a lot of talks with my mum, Mr T and my godparents - I think my mum is the one I’m more worried about fainting on me!

ALSO on 1st October I went to the Justin Timberlake concert and omgoshness, it was amazing. I can’t go on because even after the 20/20 experience, I was left amazed and in awe, and I loved him even more. I think my friend had it worse than me though she was near tears! Although JT hadn’t come to Aus. in 7 years, the love definitely didn’t die. I can’t wait til he comes back, I’ll be there!

I’m very sorry for the massive delays and lack of content on this blog. Schedules are all over the place and hope I can get some things rolling again.
