A Ring For Every Finger

As per usual I am awake and the first thing I do is check instagram. I browse through my feed first, liking everything from scenery to layouts to food; secondly I check my likes and any comments, and today there was nothing so I quickly turn to exploring vsco tags. Through my continuous browsing this morning and previous browsing I’ve found numerous stores and I’m in complete love.

Love? Yes, love. I have been in love with rings for quite some time and since the midi rings came into the fashion world, I cannot stop – losing some along the way of course. I remember buying my first ring stack from Lovisa and picking only the tiniest in size to put on my fingers. I loved the trend from the get go. I had rings on nearly every finger with some having two – as you do with a compulsion with rings and as I said, I couldn’t stop, so the more I bought, the more I lost.

Obviously the price ranges vary and this is where it gets me every time. Don’t get me wrong, I would happily buy jewellery from Lovisa but I am compelled to buy rings from Baby Anything and Chainless Brain because they are just TOO adorable!

Again, my love hate relationship with fashion is so obvious because the rings made out of gold and rose gold 18ct will of course be expensive, particularly being hand-made and I love that about these two stores. I know the hard work that goes into making them. My love is definitely being sent to you for making such amazing creations.

Above are my favourites and yes, I do occasionally stroke the computer screen wishing they were mine hehe. It makes me wonder if I would ever lose them because rings love to slip off my fingers. I think I’d stick them onto my fingers so I’d never those them!

With a Touch of Gold

My Valentine’s was very eventful for me. It wasn’t splashes of romantic gestures or anything as amazing as what some couples did on the day. It wasn’t the best day in terms of weather and it wasn’t the best of days for some people and some of my friends. I know I woke up really early – something I had to make myself do after having sleep-ins the entire week from my mini holiday, and I called my best friend. I had a gift for her and it was something I had to give her.

So the night before I laid out my outfit - something Alexa Chung would definitely disapprove of and I baked my first ever batch of butter cookies. I will say that it’s part of the reason for it being eventful because they turned out so well. I was literally gleaming! I will say they needed some extra sugar and a little more cocoa powder but other than that, they were perfect.

Of course my best friend featured in my day, she randomly was in front of my door step and soon after, inside on the couch. I gave her, her presents – an orchard and some of the butter cookies. Something I love about her is, she can just come into my home and make herself a cup of tea, something she actually did!

... I will say that it was an amazing day overall, two special in my life that I spent it with and another good friend the day after! Now I feel too spoilt but to me, it didn’t need to be over the top or have romantic written everywhere. There was lunch; there were movies, jokes and dinner. The conversations that day seemed a little more special and so were the gifts given to me. I’m holding onto that promise, that’s for sure and I think on the day, everything just seemed right.

I hope that you’re day was amazing and I hope you can tell me what you did! I would of happily stayed at home and played games and watch movies all day with some pizza. Who doesn’t love pizza?!

The photos above were taken after lunch so please excuse my food baby if it’s noticeable!
